revised plotline

the narrator introduces the story via videoblog
The central protagonist of this film is trapped in a cycle of technology
she ‘can’t live ‘ without her phone and laptop and spends all her time inside on facebook and twitter. Her only community is the detached one of the online world. Her twin sister is the complete opposite; she loves to be outside with her friends and wants her sister to understand that it is better. she thinks that the computer makes her antisocial and traps her . One day when the technology girl snaps at her, she gets really angry she decides that she needs to be and she is sent back in time to 1970 and the first ever Glastonbury where a crowd of hippies show her some of the true values of community. She learns that she doesn’t need to have technology and that she misses her family the hippies get her back home via a bicycle. FREEZEFRAME
And the ‘moral’ it told by the narrator.

scene [[setting recce]]

for the film there are 4 basic settings that are involved:
- blogging , anywhere (probably bedroom)
-The girls’ bedroom
-A transitional stage
-The field/naturalistic setting that the hippies are in
-Returning home scene, street/home setting

Girls bedroom-
I want this scene to reflect the two girls characters and the binary opposites that they represent, using mise en scene might be a nice way of doing this panning across the bedroom half of which is decorated elaborately in the style of the ‘free’ sister character and bed is split down the middle to the girls side that is full of wires etc.
The setting I found for this is in my house there is a bed in the front window flanked by a wardrobe and a set of draws this will be perfect as in is relatively symmetrical and can be decorated easily .

Transitional stage we are going to use fade to black and a short animated section .

PROPS LIST

Briefly some of the props which we need for the film:

Scene 1 - computer with a web cam.
Scene 2 - binary opposites of props. really technical - i pods, phone, laptop very modern props. the other really traditional/relaxed - floral patterns bed canopy.
Scene 3 - glass and fizzing tablet.
Scene 5 - 70's costume. hippy style dresses bandannas etc.
Scene 7 - campfire and bike.
Scene 8 - computer with web cam.
